Woozie: Phase II

January 19th, 2010

Aries Multimedia, LLC is pleased to announce that the second phase of the Woozie e-commerce site has been completed.  This phase is directed at resellers.  People who want to carry Woozies in their stores can sign up online and, after approval by the Woozie powers that be, can buy products to stock in their stores.  Customers can then go to their local purveyor of Woozies  (found using the Woozie Locator) or shop for their wine koozie needs from the comfort of their own home, coffee shop or wine bar.

This project has let us flex our e-commerce muscles like no other before.  We have explored some fairly complicated issues involving Quickbooks integration, hiding and revealing prices to customers based on certain criteria, and interacting with customer data on a very basic level.  This will give us and the principles at Woozie a great amount of control over their site and make the site a tool they can use to manage their business, not just a storefront for their products.

Remember, Aries Multimedia can do the same thing for you and for your business!  Give us a call, send us an email, or throw up some smoke signals; we would love to work with you.

Woozie.com

December 11th, 2009

We’re pleased to announce the initial roll-out of our latest project: the Woozie.com web store.  You can get to the Woozie web store by going here.

The first question that everyone asks when we describe this project is “What is a woozie?”  A woozie is a wine koozie.  Basically it’s a koozie with a specific shape and a draw string designed to let it fit on a wine glass.  These prevent your hand from heating up the wine, act as a bold wine glass marker, and prevents your glass from forming condensation.  These are great accessories for parties, weddings, tailgates, or any occasion.

The Woozie was developed by Frank and Julia Sherron of Vass, NC.  They have been marketing it since early 2009 and currently place the Woozie in 500 stores nationwide.  They are growing quickly and wanted to add a web outlet to their site to increase direct to consumer sales and to provide an easy way to interface with retailers.  In the coming days existing retail account holders will be able to reorder efficiently using the e-commerce site and new retailers will be able to apply to carry the Woozie and place their initial orders.  We are also planning on implementing a promotional products portal for business and party planners to use to order custom screen-printed Woozies.

We were excited to work with Shawn McClafferty on this project.  Shawn is the original web designer for the Woozie site and had a great design for us to work with.  We took Shawn’s design, moved it to a new host, and wrapped our e-commerce solution around it.  We look forward to working with this talented designer in the future.  Oh, and if you click on Shawn’s link above, be sure to check out the sidewalk chalk under “Illustration”.  It’s very good, and we hear it helped him land his fiancee.

The 3 Dudes

December 7th, 2009

We are pleased to announce our latest project – The 3 Dudes (www.the3dudes.com).  The 3 Dudes are one of Charleston’s youngest bands consisting of 3 brothers all under the age of 11.  The 3 Dudes came to us to help build a website that would promote their upcoming shows and appearances, feature photos from past performances and provide them with a store to sell all of their merchandise.  One thing that was important to The 3 Dudes was to be able to update shows and the latest news “on the fly”.  Therefore, we set it up to where they could do just that  – themselves!
